Silk Calla Lily
Zantedeschia is a genus of twenty-eight species of herbaceous flowering plants in the family Araceae, native to southern Africa. The name of the genus was given as a tribute to Italian botanist Giovanni Zantedeschi by the German botanist Kurt. Common names include Arum lily, calla, and calla lily although it is neither a true lily nor Arum or Calla. It is also often erroneously spelled as "cala lily" or "calla lilly". It has often been used in many paintings, and is visible in many of Diego Rivera's works of art.
The Silk Calla Lily has become a weeding flower mainstay because of it̢۪s beauty and elegance. It also is commonly found in three very popular wedding colors, white, mauve and yellow. Silk Calla Lilies can found in sizes for bridal bouquets, bridesmaid flowers and corsages. Calla Lilies are one of the top 10 most popular wedding flower types.
Use mini Calla Lilie or Baby Calla Lily for corsages. Use Medium or Large Calla Lilies for Bouquets. All are used for arrangements. A tall vase full of large Silk Calla Lilies is a very impressive site and works perfectly nect to a fireplace or in an entryway.
For wedding flowers, Silk Calla Lilies are often used as alter flowers, corsages, bouquets, and bridesmaid flowers. Using silk flowers for a wedding means no drooping flowers during pictures or at the reception and they stay preserved exactly as they were on your wedding day.
